Hello and welcome to this week’s policing update for the Blakenhall area!
✅ Good News from Your Local Policing Team ✅ I am PCSO Mount and I am your new Blakenhall PCSO, working alongside PCSO Cooper-Haime. I look forward to seeing everyone around and getting to know the area!
Just a brief update on what we have been up to this week; We have seized a vehicle and had it recovered for no tax that was on a public road, we also held a cuppa with a copper event at the Bob Jones Community Hub which had a great turn out, thank you to all that attended! Officers have arrested a driver after being spotted driving whilst disqualified, as well as two offenders being arrested after their vehicle was stopped by your local neighbourhood officers and 348 wraps of suspected class A drugs were subsequentially found.
📅 Upcoming Police & Community Engagements 📅
PCSOs held a Cuppa With a Copper event held at the Bob Jones Community Hub on the 11th November between 4pm – 6pm and we will act upon requests to alter the time the engagement is held going forwards as we have been given feedback that a later meeting would be preferred.
Our next engagement event will be updated in due course.
✅ Crime Prevention Tips: Protect your home against opportunist burglars by remembering to ‘lock up’ and check on your neighbours. Dark evenings can provide perfect cover for burglars who can easily spot an open window in an unoccupied room, see your valuables through open curtains or blinds, or try their luck with an unlocked door while you are distracted by fireworks. Here are some crime prevention tips to help keep your property safe: Try to make your house look as occupied as possible when you are not there.Do not leave your house and vehicle keys in the lock or on a side table in view of a window.Do not leave items in open porches that could be used to enter your home, for example, curved-handled umbrellas to open doors or keys through letterboxesAlways lock your windows and doors when you are in. If you have UPVC front doors take extra care to lock these as soon as you get into your property.
